Rent-to-Own allows clients to rent a vehicle for an agreed term of 54 months while using it as their own. At the end of the term, ownership transfers to the client with no balloon or extra payments.

All Rent-to-Own contracts at SmartLane run for 54 months (4 years and 6 months). The monthly rental amount remains fixed for the entire term.

Yes. Clients from other provinces may choose to visit the branch to complete the signing and payments, but delivery will still be arranged unless they prefer to collect in person.

Yes. Early settlement options are available. Clients can request a settlement figure, which will include the balance of outstanding rentals.

Vehicle changes are not automatic. However, clients may request an upgrade, subject to a new contract and approval by SmartLane.

If a payment is missed, SmartLane will notify the client immediately. Arrangements can be made, but repeated defaults may result in repossession as per the agreement.

The first rental is charged pro-rata to align billing with the delivery date. This ensures clients only pay for the days they have the vehicle during the first month.
